-Post your character. By doing so, you condemn them to receiving a tide of telemarketing calls, spam e-mail, and junk mail specifically tailored to them. There is no escape.
-People reply to your character with samples of their spam. React accordingly.
-Alternatively create your own character's spam, and other characters react accordingly to it.
-For example, Jack Bauer keeps receiving an e-mail scam claiming that a wealthy heiress has been taken hostage by terrorists, that his money is needed to pay the ransom, that he will be rewarded once she is freed, and that he only has 24 hours to respond.
