Blue dreamed he broke through the atmosphere and fell up into a bed of stars that glowed faintly violet and blue, just like the halo his power gave him in flight. The moon was orange and red, half-obliterated and smoldering from its core. He felt warm for only as long as the destruction was in his line of sight; when he turned to face it once again, it was absent altogether.
A tiny speck of blue light glinted off the surface of the planet now at his feet. It streaked across clouds and sharply turned up, growing brighter and bigger, blasting through the last ring of air with a dull boom. Blue watched as it approached, having no way to dodge or turn away. He saw Jomy's shape within, fingers clawing at the sides of his head in pain. Blue reached out to grab hold of him, Jomy reaching in turn, but he couldn't reach, and Jomy soared past and out of sight. There was no sign of the light when Blue twisted around to search for him. He felt guilt and worry knot up in his chest, weighing him down and pulling him back towards the gray and
