I have two characters in mind. One I've been thinking about for a few weeks, since I stayed over with Cap and Junabi on the way to my homeland in IL. The other is just formulating.
What do you think?EDIT! The poll wasn't registering votes, and when I recreated it (using Semagic's awesome create poll tool) it won't even post it as a poll. wtf LJ. So uh, here is a text poll.
Who should Zen app?
1, an annoying kid who will never grow up (ever) and is the best at insults.
2, a girl who plays a bishounen elf in an MMORPG who managed to become the spokesperson for the game, a major lord, and an idol singer on accident
3, nobody?
Just.. give me a number. Lol.
1. Rufio! Rufio! Rufio! Ru! Fi! O! Yes, that Rufio, of Hook fame. His powers would be something like this: Never Grows Up, Imagination (which would allow him to do basically all the stuff he did in the movie, including fly), something something I haven't decided yet.
Pros: Many, many opportunities for trolling, he's a little jerkface with a lisp (and the actor is the VA for Zuko lol), the most amazing insults ever. Ever. Maggot munching, slug slurping, crap covered pile of rotting cat puke! It would be a lot of fun to see how he could manage to function in the City without the Lost Boys - maybe he'd try to form a new group of them or something.
Cons: He's a lot like Toph in many ways, including the jerkishness, though she's mellowed out quite a bit. Could be difficult to maintain CR with, since he thinks every adult is a pirate (but interactions with Sanji would be priceless). It would get hard to come up with new and interesting (yet PG) insults after awhile. ICly, Toph would ping on him being a kid and probably try to interact - I don't want to muncest, but it would be OOC for her to not respond to him somehow, especially since he sounds just like Zuko. And yet, I love him to bits. I really, really do. And I would love playing him somewhere so very, very much.
2. Feng Lan/Xiao Lan/Xiao Xiao from 1/2 Prince, a Taiwanese thingy that's out on OneManga with 44 chapters. I love it to pieces. And just reread it, so it's fresh in my brainmeats. She's a 19 year old university student who has played quite a few MMORPGs, always ending up as the girl character who tagged along, leeched xp and items, and is sort of sick of it. When her annoying twin brother brings home the newest MMO (a virtual reality type) for them to play (translated most often as Second Life, haha), she jumps the gun and logs in before he can. By some miracle, she is the very first player to log in, and the construct who assists her in creating her character turns out to actually be a GM who is just as obsessed with bishounen as she is. That, combined with her frustration with her layabout brother and the desire not to leech on anyone, results in her being the only player allowed to create a character whose sex is different than her real body's.
She ends up creating a gorgeous silver-haired elf warrior named Prince and goes on many adventures, discovering that she loves the freedom that a male avatar brings to her (but definitely NOT the screaming rabid fangirls and the odd fanboy), eventually earning the nickname "Blood Elf" for how she (he) enjoys being covered in the blood of her enemies. Her powers would include: Transforming into Prince and using his skills, which are mostly swordy in origin, and some other stuff that I haven't decided yet. Summon healing/mana potions? idk.
Pros: A character who is actually up on current (and some future) technology! This one could be a challenge, what with the sex-changing and all. Aside from that, she's a fairly normal teenager who is pretty smart and a bit boy-crazy. It would be a nice change of pace and she's pretty different from the rest of my characters.
Cons: Boy-crazy teenager who is prone to spazzing awkwardness, especially in the presence of hot men. I...can't really think of too many cons, honestly. That might be the con crud rotting my brains, though.
