(no subject)
So Red Robin 12 is out, and it's pretty damn good. I was encouraged to post some highlights for people who are interested, but not actively following the title so! Images after the cut :3
So, as a reminder of Tim's disastrous life so far: he changed his uniform and name to Red Robin and left Gotham in a huffy whirlwind of BRUCE IS ALIVE, refusing to explain himself, alienating friends and family, and making everyone think he was an asshole. Ra's took advantage of his grimdark loner quest around the world to pressure him into working with him in trying to find Bruce (or he'd kill people). Tim made a lot of Bad Decisions TM, but Ra's wasn't giving him a lot of choice and besides, he believed him, Dick. But then Tim got tired of grey area-ing around and blew up all the League of Assassin's generators, leaving with Lucius Fox's daughter Tam and heading back to Gotham.
Ra's was kind of pissed.
Enough to send the seven ~deadliest~ assassins after Tim, and the rest of the League ninja after like... everyone Bruce ever loved/liked/didn't want to punch in the face, while picking on Hush until he signed the company over to the League, because Hush is still pretending to be Bruce, Crazy Edition.
Tim was like FFFFF SHIIIIT and ran around Gotham with Steph limpeting on and having pink-tinted flashbacks to their kisses idek ANYWAY THIS IS THE DENOUEMENT TO THAT WHOLE THING.
So the cover is promising. *Just. Looks at TK.*
BUT I'M NOT POSTING THE WHOLE ISSUE so let us skip: Tim shows up behind Ra's like a badass and, when Ra's is like LOL WELL DONE FINDING ME, I HOPE IT WAS WORTH SACRIFICING ALL THOSE PEOPLE I SENT ASSASSINS AFTER, Tim holds up a walkie talkie and asks for a report.
I especially like Selina's panel XD
Tim then baits Ra's into a fight, which obviously he's going to lose. But the point was to delay Ra's long enough for Lucius to pass paperwork making Tim the new CEO of Waynecorp and executor of Bruce's estate, including his money. Meaning Tim loses the battle but wins the war.
Ra's is unhappy.
Ouch.
Tim is... STILL KIND OF CRAZY ABOUT BRUCE, NGL, BUT.

Anyway, Bat!Dick catches him and takes him back to the Cave, leading us to this:
"AHH IT'S DAMIAN! ... oh wait, that's actually a good thing."
ashgfkjfsdjsdg because you're my brother. afdksfglfds. *sobbing*
BUT WAIT.
oh, Tim and his relationships. They never get any less complicated.

Or creepy, apparently. THANKS FOR THAT, RA'S o_o It's like the "welcome to being 18" thing for Robins is having the al Ghuls suddenly start the attempts to seduce them. Although to be fair, in Ressurrection of Ra's al Ghul, he was already trying to give Tim handmaidens and get his body :|
Oh, and the thing Tim saw that convinced him Bruce was alive in the first place?
