last night was the Dresden Dolls concert at the paradise. I went to one on Friday too in Manchester, very good indeed, but oh my the Paradise show was spectacular. I got there around, ah, it was somewhat early, probably 6:30 ish. Along the street there were lovely brigaders; the beautiful living statue, who would blow random kisses or wave to people passing by. She was very lovely and stood out there during the whole entire show. I felt bad, finding out later that she was underage so she couldn’t get in, but man that is some major dedication, to brigade and then not even be able to see the show. There was also the wonderful accordion player and the two people handing out food and such. All these people are so wonderful. Oh! and Paco, the wondrous man in stilts who made me so so so happy to see...giving me spontaneous hugs. I am very happy to finally have met you darling! That was just outside of the club. I walked in and there were several more living statues all scattered about. It really was an amazing sight, wonderful turn out, such creative people. The only person that scared me a little was the creepy moving striped clown man...Tina was petrified...even had a nightmare about him. I love these freaks so much though! Amanda approached me, while she was kind of running about everywhere, and we hugged and told each other how beautiful we were...then she went running everywhere again. Oh! There was also a human puppet show thing... I'm not describing it well, but it was fabulous. Then after all that the first act came on, Tom ???? I am getting angry at me for forgetting his name, I will find it out. I am just drawing a blank. He was interesting though, funny, creative, great...He made his own instruments. Tina remembers the names of them, don't ask me I'm horrible with names. So, he went on...then I met more people that I have been dying to meet...Brittney, Lupa...and later on Ben (accordion man), and others........so then Fluttr Effect graced us on stage. They were AMAZING, Tina was especially blown away by them and Nick thought the lead singer was beautiful, everyone was beautiful. After the fabulous fluttr effect came an Australian contortionist went on stage who made me squirm, but was entertaining. Ah then THE DRESDEN DOLLS! I thought Friday's show was great, it was, but gaad, even though Amanda was having voice troubles a little of the way through, it was, mildly put, spectacular. They played mostly new songs and put all their heart and soul into each. I would describe the show more...but it’s hard to... I cried during the cover of "Halleluiah," but otherwise I was smiling the whole show. Brian during the intro to half jack, my god, no words. I guess to sum up this entry, I will just simply say that the show was incredible. Even the crowd was wonderful, there were too many things to look at- thus too many things to describe... I chose not to write about my day in Boston because I am super tired, but that was also very fun. I probably left loads out of this, but I'm tired. I love you all, good night.
