For 20inspirations Round 19: "Art". These are definitely hit or miss. To be honest I've been hesitating about posting them at all, but I've decided I might as well. There's a lot of variety (some more simple, some way experimental) so hopefully there's something for everyone xD

I looked through a lot of different art styles, and was inspired by their various colour palettes, locations, and lighting, as well as a slightly blurred style like in #3 that reminds me of a painting, or a sharper style like #17 that reminds me of a stone texture in a sculpture. Many of these icons are a general interpretation of the theme (and/or use the provided textures to create lighting), but I have a few specific influences I'd also like to mention.
02. There's a subtle half-tone texture, especially in the background and on their clothing, that was inspired by pop-art. Here's a textless alternate if you'd prefer!

05. Texture. I'm sure it's a little make-your-eyes-bleed, especially if you have a really bright/sharp monitor, but I like the colours. Inspiration came from the original cap, where she had a blood streak down her head that looked like red paint. I took that idea and ran with it xD
06. Word: "Collage"
11. I was kind of going for an old-fashioned photograph type look, with that very particular type of blurriness. idk!
14. Texture.
16. Although it turned out nothing like it, this was initially inspired by the famous photograph Afghan Girl. I've always loved that photo because her eyes are so incredibly striking, and I found Kate's eyes in this image had a similar intensity. And then I took that idea and didn't...really...use it. In conclusion, Kate has pretty eyes.
18. I went a bit "abstract" with this one, purposefully cropping it so it's not totally clear what's going on. (It's the scene where Juliet and Kate wake up in the jungle handcuffed together!) PS. Juliet's neck in the original cap was a mess! Not the best angle for the otherwise lovely Liz Mitchell! xD Smudge tool to the rescue!
19. I wanted to make this one look like a pencil drawing. I think it sort of worked?
