today was one of those days that started out very productive and turned into a lazy evening...

i woke up around 8.25, before my alarm clock was set to go off, and i felt energized and ready to work. i got up, got dressed, packed my stuff and headed to IES. along the way, i stopped at aldi and purchased rolls, juice and clementines. i got to IES and wrote about 2/3 of my lit paper #3, while listening to christmas music or RMF.fm and eating said rolls with some of grandpa's homemade honey. it was delicious and the experience was very pleasant.

having written most of the paper in about 3 hours, while also figuring out my topic for Uli's thesis paper AND finding some sources for it AND doing some initial reading, i went to Uli's class, where chantal and i had our presentation. it went better than i expected, so that was cool. just prior to class, i text messaged coach mario that i wouldn't be at practice today due to the pain in my wrist- it is much worse today than it has been in a long while, so i decided to take it easy.  we'll see how friday and sunday go in terms of practice...anyway: class was over, so i returned to the computer room, where i was intending on doing more work. Uli, in the mean time, had spoken with barbara and gotten us out of having to write a final, so WOO! for having 4 finals instead of 5. i decided that i was going home, because the computer lab was full of noisy assholes people. i also went to kaufland to purchase something for dinner. since then i've played a bunch of pool on Yahoo! Games and talked to my brother. i also found a hammock, which we purchased for daddy for christmas. that meant that i had to call bernie to make sure we could have it sent to him so that my parents don't see it before christmas =). so we took care of that and sebek's been looking around for a frytkownica for mom for christmas, so that's cool. now we just have to figure out what to get for grandma and i have to figure out what to get for sebek...i would get him the james bond dvd collection but the whole thing is like $179.99 or something, which is insanely expensive. maybe i can find something neat at the weihnachtsmaerkte!

i really want to continue writing my lit paper, but i should work on the portable roots one since i asked sascha if he could look over it for me and he said to give him something on friday. tomorrow there's no german class- the prof. is having individual meetings to go over the papers. since i already had mine on tuesday, i'm free until portable roots [@12.15 in the museum of history!] and then lit class right after that. and after lit class i am going with phil and tiff and whoever else is interested to the kartoffelhouse that we saw in nikolaiviertel. i hope it's not too expensive! thereafter i'm free. friday is history class 10.00-14.00 during which time i will put together the calendar while the rest of the class watches a movie for their final paper. then is practice, but i won't know until then if i'll be going or not- all depends on how the wrist feels.

this weekend will, yet again, be busy. saturday diana and i are planning to go to the weihnachtsmarkt in gendarmenmarkt and to the pergamonn museum. i hope it'll be fun! sunday is practice at like 14.00 or something such, meaning that i won't make it to soccer [because i'd be at least an hour late, so there's no point]. the rest of the weekend will be consumed by more paper writing/presentation preparing. the following weekend i'd like to check out the weihnachtsmarkt at charlottenburg, seeing as i've wanted to see the castle forever but haven't gotten there yet...maybe diana will be interested in this as well? yeah, 2 weekends left in berlin. gotta make the best of them! =)
