happy turkey day!
...so, while everyone i know is enjoying a few days off from school and/or work, here i am finding myself in classes and NOT in a turkey day mood! =( so sad. there's no such thing as thanksgiving in germany, but our program host has been nice enough to organize a turkey dinner for us and the staff later today. it begins at 19.00 [i think]. i just got done with classes about 40 minutes ago and decided to stay around here and get some work done. i have a lot due within the next couple of week- namely about 7 papers and 3 oral presentations- that i'd like to get out of the way one by one so as not to go sleepless next week. yesterday i punched out the majority of my lit paper in about 3 hours worth of work, but i got a couple more ideas for it today and am currently working on that [when not updating lj]. music has this neat way of keeping me focused on a task, it seems, so iTunes has been turned on practically as much as the laptop itself.
in short, my thanksgiving break, a.k.a. the three or so hours between classes and dinner, consists of writing, writing, and more writing. fun? yes, but not ALL the time. at least i know that i've mastered the art of BS in german now, too.
