Explain your LiveJournal name, its meaning, and mention an alternative user name you would have used. When you're done, tag as many people as there are letters in your name.
Well, the story behind my name is pretty boring. When I decided to register for an LJ, I had difficulty in thinking of a name which was both awesome and available, so I decided to browse over a Kabuki glossary (I was on a Kabuki kick at the time) and pick a term from there: at least one of them (or most of them, perhaps) was bound to be free. I liked the term gōruden-kombi most. It comes from the English golden combination, and it is used to refer to a pair of male actors renowned for playing female/male pairs together (onnagata/tachiyaku). I liked the idea of it.
I don't like this name anymore, however. I've wanted to get a rename token for quite a while. As to preferred names, I would really love to have 'beatific', 'postscriptum', 'bubbletea', or 'jinn' (or 'djinni', or 'djinn', or 'djini', or 'jinni'). Of course, as I'm still on a Tenipuri kick, it would be cool to have 'Karupin', or 'Oshitari', or 'Echizen', or 'Kiyosumi', but most Tenipuri-related names are taken.
As a heads-up -- I think I really will get a rename token today. It's a waste of money, but, well, most things are. I will probably pick one of the available names of the aforementioned.
