i just lit a candle. it was a candle that i'd forgotten that i'd purchased. it has an edge to it, the wax lights up and is a light color that casts it's light down several inches through it's mass in a opache luminescence. the maker must have known what they were doing. there are bits of dark wax encrusted on the outside of the candle. it's spoted like a leopard. i stopped to look at the wick burning. this was becasue it had, aparently, been n the sunlight on a table on a hot day and the base was melted and it stood off-kilter. so i cut it with a knife. it's still slightly off, but i needed to see that the wax wouldn't go hay-wire and blow out of the stand on to my carpet. but then i saw it.

the wick glistened for a distance above the wax, but there was a bit above that, still black, starting to silver into ash. it's like global warming or live in california. things near the water see that hazy edge where the cooling factor is effervescing into nothingness, but everything outside of the efferveseration zone blows into nothingness in the cruel heat of the sun. hell it's more than global warming, it's just the heat of the sun. searing anything outside of our atmosphere.

in that light there is no global warming. there's just hte sun. burning it's way closer to the crust of this rock. is it just us? or are the poles flipping?
