i need a copy of hans christian anderson's kids tales. aparently that's a bit darker than the grimm brothers' faerie tales. dark's what i need. i really need to be able to read old norse or to find a reliably straight translation of the swan prince from it's original form.
wicked little things
horrorfest one more time tomorrow. the miner children in wicked little things ruled. that movie had a few issues, but it was great to watch un-dead miner children blown away by a shotgun. honestly the horror, however oddly matched in level from scene to scene, was indubitably good, the whole death and being undead ravenous canibal miner children thing had a bad base premise. i'm sorry, we, in the us, simply don't see child labor enough to have a good connection with the problems in it. had a bunch of children simply died in the mine with no explanation i'd respect the horrific premise more than if you give me this idiodic hackneyed premise to run off of. was it in the media lately? no. do i live in asia? no. fuck off. get something i can work with here.
otherwise it did sorta rock, for an indie level horror flick.
