this weekend i rediscovered a love for Max Cavalera. I know own roots, chaos ad and the first soulfly album and just finished downloading arise and beneath the remains. i've never really gotten into the sepultura and dissed a friend a year or so back for liking them when she didn't seem to like anything else metal. my bad, misjudged as usual w/her.

touche. there's something about this metal that takes me back to the days when the black album wasn't a a mistake and korn hadn't lost focus yet. deftones still had promise and icp wasn't even on the radar. i fucking love this shit. i'm heading down to the lava lounge on tuesday night for the 'black lava' metal dj night. i'm tired of looking for metalheadz online and finding teenagers in europe. enough is enough.
