Managed to not get any substantive reading done in the month; not sure if I've actually finished any of the in-progress books from February (yikes). I feel like I read something, but no memory of what. So, March and April are basically carry-overs of the last three books of the last post, with two updates:
Mostly I've just been depressing myself by reading climate change/environmental collapse etc news/articles/etc. Flippant because it's too overwhelming terrible to think seriously about for too long.
Yeah, third procrastination break of the hour; time to go back to Family Law and Practice.
- Binge-read and finished! Orleans (n), Sherri L. Smith; YA dystopia; read this Book Smugglers review, and pretty much ordered it right away. I started it on a contact high and settled down more into it, but capsule review: sucked into narrative and world, Fen is a FANTASTIC protagonist/heroine, and I'm looking forward to whatever follow-up Smith serves up in the future.
- started: Exodus (n), Julie Bertagna. Another YA dystopia; not the review that prompted me to get it, but this Book Smugglers review (another one (the TBR gets longer every time I go near TBS)) is pretty solid/thorough. Life one hundred years in the future after the ice caps melt and everything turns into Waterworld, but minus all the terribleness and Costner.
