Managed to not get any substantive reading done in the month; not sure if I've actually finished any of the in-progress books from February (yikes). I feel like I read something, but no memory of what. So, March and April are basically carry-overs of the last three books of the last post, with two updates:

  • Binge-read and finished! Orleans (n), Sherri L. Smith; YA dystopia; read this Book Smugglers review, and pretty much ordered it right away. I started it on a contact high and settled down more into it, but capsule review: sucked into narrative and world, Fen is a FANTASTIC protagonist/heroine, and I'm looking forward to whatever follow-up Smith serves up in the future.

  • started: Exodus (n), Julie Bertagna. Another YA dystopia; not the review that prompted me to get it, but this Book Smugglers review (another one (the TBR gets longer every time I go near TBS)) is pretty solid/thorough. Life one hundred years in the future after the ice caps melt and everything turns into Waterworld, but minus all the terribleness and Costner.

Mostly I've just been depressing myself by reading climate change/environmental collapse etc news/articles/etc. Flippant because it's too overwhelming terrible to think seriously about for too long.

Yeah, third procrastination break of the hour; time to go back to Family Law and Practice.
