I wanted to share some of my favourites hindi songs. The list is too long so i tried to select the most recent ones. Let's start !
Awaarapan :
I just watched it for the second time and i am still so moved. I love this movie and the songs are totally thrilling and transcendental. It's a remake of the korean movie A Bittersweet Life - yeah.. Indian love to remake korean movies.. and the songs also.. ><'
It's about a member of a gang who decides to disobey his boss... because of an old story.. yeah a girl ! lol
The movie was shot in Hong Kong and hence, the songs have a chinese touch which make them awesome ! My favourite is the following one : Tera Mera Rishta Purana which means "Our so-old and ongoing relationship". The context is that he had lost faith and things happen, he found love and lost love and now finally understand that God/ Allah/ Khuda/ Bhudda (whoever you want) was always at his side. So the song is about that, him finally understanding that...
The actor is Emraan Hashmi, an indian actor i appreciated recently. he is increasing his acting skills ! Way to go <333
Superstar :
I already told about this movie but i finally gor to watch it last week. it was marvellous. It's about a guy who dreams of becoming a superstar and he realizes there's a guy looking exactly like him who is actually a superstar instead that this guy doesn't have any acting skills so like "the rich and the pauper" they exchange their places but....hahaha
The actor is my beloved Kunal Khemmu. The following song is called Ajnabi Khwab mein which means "A stranger dreaming" because he finally can act and gets recognize (even under a false name)
Kalyug :
Kalyug is a movie about the porn industry in India, a big issue there ! Oo'
The song is the ending credit of the movie and you'll see Emraan Hashmi and Kunal Khemmu in it - again - >333
Kunal Khemmu plays a recent married young man and at the same time a recent widower who searches for revenge. His wife committed suicide because their wedding night in their hostel was captured with a camera without them knowing and diffused on the internet. A common thing there apparently...
The song is entitled "Aadat", it's the remix version and it's sung by a pakistani singer named Atif Aslam
Saawariya
Saawariya is one of the best movie of 2007/2008.
It was directed by sanjay Leela Bhansali who you know directed Devdas. It's an adaptation of the Dostoievsky novel White nights. The song are pure and eery.
The following one is called Masha Allah which means "A beautiful creation of God". It's the main protagonist who meets the female protagonist who he finds beautiful and so the song.. telling this girl can't be named "human" she's like a divinity etc...
Don is a remake of an indian movie, a classic one.
The movie has Shah Rukh Khan as the male lead. the story is about a mafia don who gets killed by a policeman and he's the only one to know about that. he meets a common guy who looks exactly like don (yeah.. twin theme again lol) and so he decides to take advantage of it and infiltrates the fake one as the real one.
The song is entitled Main Hoon Don "I'm Don" ans is sung by a singer named Shaan.
