Like i mentioned in my presentation post, here i will talk about my favourite movies and my actors and my island.. all this so that you'll know a bit about me. It's time for me to introduce my indian side, ne ? Yeah, actually i talked a lot about Japanese entertainment but i am also a huge Hindi movies and music fan because i grew up listening and watching hindi movies...
Bollywood, does it ring a bell ? It should, ne ? It doesn't ? Alright, nevermind, i am here now, Yoroshiku ! ^_^
- They are mostly compared to musicals like Moulin Rouge, Chicago, etc...
- They are really colourful and mostly talk about love stories and family drama? BUT it's now changing, or shoud i say getting better (*don't hit me*) because lots of artistic and experimental movies are being filmed. Lately, indian movies have been recognized in USA mostly and also in Canada with a movie called Water who was nominated in the Academy Awards 2007 for best foreign language but it didn't win.
- Also, Indian movies are becoming more and more daring, which is.. IMO, a bad thing. Before, kissing scenes or erotic scenes were not shown but it was left to the viewers'imaginations. Now it's all but hidden LMAO and it kind of minimizes the beauty of the movie now, for me.
- What is crucial for an indian movie is the soundtrack. Songs are what Indian live for. If the movie is bad but the songs are good then this movie wasn't that bad.. LooL...
- Recently India and Pakistan have been working together which is really great because their singers are so talented so hindi movies benefit from that..;p
Many people know hindi movies only because of actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee, Salman Khan, etc... I also like those a lot but i decided to present you MY honey .. LOOL
His name is Kunal Khemu and he began as a child actor. I saw his movies when i was a kid like him and adored him immediately then he did a break for 10 years O_o and he came back 2 years ago more handsome as ever.
His recent movies are called Kalyug (it's about pornography), Traffic Signal (it's about indian traffic jam), Dhol (a comedy) and his new movie is called Super Star.
What is more great is that i met him !! wheeeee... It was at an award function in Mauritius and i went in order to write an article for the magazine i work for. But as expected i couldn't stay professional and i ended up becoming like all the fans !! =p I saw him entering and i shyly asked him for an autograph and a photo which he gave to me kindly and with a smile. he was as gorgeous as in the movies and i couldn't say anything, i was just staring at him like a fool. Then he went away for the other fans and stood still for a long time until my cousin (who was with me) came to wake me up.. *-w-*
