Asian MUSIC eXtreme Awards 2007

The Asian MUSIC eXtreme Awards 2007 was organized by a french magazine which is specialized in asian culture. The aim of the contest was to have a perspective of what asian sound French people listen so as to make more demands and to get more artists to come make a concert.

The contest's result shows that French people (ne, i precise i am French LoL) love Visual Kei (ok, that's not a scoop) but also Boysband. In each pop categories Arashi/NEWS and Kat-Tun are part of the top ten which is something they were suprised of actually. The boysband that won everything was Dong Bang Shin Ki (TOHOSHINKI/TVXQ!).

But we are here to talk about NEWS, ne ? So...




NEWS took the 6th place in 2007 Best Asian Band

NEWS' Pacific took the 2nd place in 2007 Best Asian Pop Album  
(the winner is Ai Otsuka's Love Piece)

NEWS' Weeek took the 5th place in 2007 Best Asian promotional Video
(the winner is Returner - Yami no Shuen by Gackt)

NEWS' Never Ending Wonderful Story took the 9th place in 2007 Best Asian DVD or DVD box
(the winner is ALL ABOUT Dong   Bang Shin Ki season 2 of Dong Bang Shin Ki)

NEWS took the 7th place in Most Wanted Asian artist for a concert in France
(the winner is DBSK)

NEWS took the 9th place in Most wanted Asian artist for european CD/DVD releases
 (the winner is DBSK)
