Visit to Paris in a few pictures

I was in Paris until last Tuesday, and I have a few pics to share, made by Dominique (neoclyps )

First of all, and not under the cut, something to make my car friends jealous, specially badgerpdx , who is a Citroenist. I visited the double chevron showroom on the Av. des Champs Elysées and they had this GORGEUS Citroën SM (click for a larger pic)

That wasn't far from the Arc de Triomphe, where we took one of the most topic pictures you can take in Paris

Then Dominique made me go up the ferris wheel installed at the opposite side, near the Tuileries Gardens. I hate heights, but when the wheel was up, we squeezed this image with the obnoxious Tour Eiffel behind me:

My suggested visit was to Les Invalides. I wanted to see Napoleon Bonaparte's tomb, which is behind us. However, you need to purchase a ticket and visit the complete Army museum. Grrr... It's something I might do, but I'm not *that* interested in weapons and the "gloire" of France.

As I mentioned, it snowed. So Dominque said "get yourself in front of this ugly looking building so you can say you're in Moscow". He said that because his town, Ivry-sur-Seine, has been ruled but the PCF (Parti Communiste de France) for a few years. Not long from where I stand, there's Lenin Street! Nevertheless, because it's a communist town, housing is affordable, and there are many HLM (Moderated Rent Housing) units in that town. Well, this is one of the reasons that explains why housing is so expensive in Spain and it's affordable in France. Come on, appartments are the same price in his town and in mine, and i'm further from the city center. And minimum wage in France is twice as much as in Spain - although an HLM is usually the worst place you can live in.
