On a recent business trip I watched silently as my Fourth Amendment rights were violated repeatedly at the airport. When I arrived at my hotel, I discovered a nice note from Homeland Security informing me they had searched my bag. It strikes me as odd, that after violating my rights, they think they're being nice by leaving me a note about it. As if they have some sort of moral standard to live up to. It was all I could do to not take a sharpie and write FASCISTS across the note and stuff it back in there, for them to find later, on my return trip. "That's sure to land you on a list", I thought, which angered me even more, "There goes the First Amendment."
I thought about printing the Bill of Rights and shoving it in my bag. Not sure if it would make a difference though. Does the TSA pay more than minimum wage?
On walking the halls at a business that does many government contracts, I discover the Security room, with lots of flyers on the walls. Flyers with titles like "Elicitation, Can You Recognize It?", "Counterintelligence Integration", "OPSEC For Travellers", and "Homeland Security Investigations, SHIELD AMERICA, A Partnership to Protect America".
Now I know what to stuff in my bag. But will anyone get the joke?
