What a weekend. Amy is awesome. For so many good sweaty reasons too.
But, sunday, when I woke up approx 0300 grunting in pain what what felt like an icepick in my left eye,
she immediately said let me take you to the ER. I tried to gut out the pain a bit more but then
relented. So, we went to Cooper Hospital. Walked right in. They gave me an
anesthetic eye drop, put a drop of dye in there and looked with a blacklight. Yep, scratched
cornea. No idea what or how that happened. No contacts for a week, no helping at ron's
that day, no practice on wednesday. The ER gave me eye drops and Percocets.
Wow...those are great. Ask for them by name. AKA Oxycodone. None of those
crappy Vicodone or Hydrocodone.
So, about 0530 we arrive back at her place. We go back to bed. Amy described me
as lying down and about 30 seconds later, I was like a deflating balloon. Out till
1000.
It felt good to be taken care of again. What an awesome girlfriend.
