Wow...been awhile.
SCA update. Have new legs. Fought passably well at Pennsic. Killed the Midrealm King in the
Field battle. Won King Ass at Argent Lupe. I am now the addressed as Your Assesty.
I bought new leather at Pennsic and will be making a much lighter and fightable brigandine.
I am getting older and need the weight reduction.
Work update. Work alternately sucks and then doesnt. They keep paying me so I shouldnt really
bitch too much. But just when I have things all settled down and going smoothly something
usually screws it up or I find something new that was screwed up years ago and now I get
to fix it. Joy. I guess that is the real reason they keep paying me.
Fall update. Wow...I got all sorts of events planned. Practice and BBQ. 33rd birthday. Crown War and Lakewood. Crusades. 100 Minutes War. Markland knighting. Parties. Other stuff.
Then there is my cousin's batchelor party. Going to see if the youngsters
can keep with the large debauched old man. Hehehehee...probably not. They are generally 10 years
younger than me so they are not even in my weight class. Then there is the wedding. I have a
feeling my cousin will be driven insane by my aunt, his fiance/bride, his new in-laws, etc. So my
plan is take the heat off of him by being even more "me" than normal. If I am wrong in my assessment
then I just plan on having a good time.
Personal update. I am enjoying the moment for once.
Played mini golf the other night. In order to short circuit my normal asshole competitiveness I picked a child's 2 foot long putter and putted from my knees. Goddamn...that was funny. It was a good Circle outing.
House update. Almost have the pantry completed. Got it spackled, sanded, and painted. Now to put up
the shelving. Damn...im pretty handy.
