Missing Girl
It's been a long time since I used this account, kinda planned on never, but there are some things that are worth it.
Lisa Dyer of Colorado Springs kissed her thirteen year old daughter goodnight Friday night. Saturday morning the girl was missing. She did not take money, make up, or any personal possesions of any sort. Lisa has found out that her daughter took a cab early in the morning from their home. The cab company will not release information as to who the child was with, how she paid, or where she went without a warrant.
The police refuse to issue an Amber Alert as she is considered a runaway. They will also not issue a warrant to get the necessary information from the cab company.
Lisa's daughter has asthma and is without her inhaler, she has been missing for nearly four days. The police refuse to do anything. Apparently it is legal for the cab company to pick a minor child up from her home in the middle of the night, but it is illegal to tell her worried parents what happend to her after that. Does anybody know how to make the police listen? To get something done?
Lisa is pleading for help in finding her daughter. All I can do is ask that you guys keep your eyes out, call your local paper, news, police department, whoever you can to find Lisa's thirteen year old girl. I will make the same efforts, at least as much as I can from such distance (and mostly without long distance service).
If her daughter did run away, she is probably far from home and scared to come home to her parents. I've been there. She needs to be found and reassured that she can go home. If she left the house in that cab with another person, we need to know who he/she is. There is concern that she may have met somebody over the internet and fallen into the hands of an internet predator.
I do not have all of the girl's details, I am waiting on Lisa's response, but I am asking that once I obtain this information all those in the Springs who may be able to help, please do what you can to find this girl. Her mother is going out of her mind with worry. I have asked where she usually hangs out, what area she went missing from, and a desription.

Apparently, she snuck out sometime between 1:00 and 5:00 a.m. on Saturday. She took nothing with her...no clothes, no money, no hairbrush or toothbrush. No makeup. She's thirteen-years-old and her eyeliner and lipgloss are still here.
I've never been more frightened in my life. If you pray, say one. Positive energy, good thoughts, happy mojo...anything at this point.
The police are doing absolutely nothing. I've contacted some national organizations who are finally listening to me and her name and picture and information are slowly but surely going up. For now, though...
nothing.
No Amber Alert because she left under her own steam. She's considered a runaway. I'm on the phone today screaming and yelling for them to change her status to 'missing' because it's been over 72 hours.
And she didn't take her inhaler. She has asthma and her oxygen levels have been known to drop well below 80. I've seen them as low as 71, but that was when she was little...since then, she's learned her triggers and how to control it.
BUT...stress is one of her triggers. And she has no medication to control it. And I think she's smoking. And...
Oh, God.
They don't want to change her status. My guess is that if they do, they're afraid they might have to actually Do something. When she left, she called a cab. I found that much out. The cab company won't give me any information, though. Won't tell me what time...won't tell me where they took her. Not without a warrant. And the police WON'T GET A WARRANT.
Is this incomprehensible or what?
