Went to shelby farms yesterday with my dog. By the time we got home Oscars eyes had swollen to the size of golf balls. How miserable. Bryan pretty much didn't care, and I was the one who told him to get in the car because I was taking Oscar to the animal emergency hospital and I wasn't going alone. 10pm at night. On Summer Avenue. By myself. Hell no.
Once we got to the vet Bryan "took" charge and it totally annoyed me, because he didn't want to take him in the first place. I'm always "over reacting" or something like that. He kept messing with oscars eyes and trying to play vet. It got on my nerves a little bit, but I was FAR more concerned about my pup. He still looks like this this morning.
We both woke up at 5 am and his condition hasn't improved. He refuses to keep his eyes open and it's diffuclt for me to put ointment in them. This morning Bryan said he was calling Dr. Shaw this morning and now he's acting ambivilant(?). Whatev's I'm calling Dr. Shaw like the caring, 5 am in the morning Bryan said he wanted to do.

I WANT MY DOG TO BE OKAY. I don't think the vet at the emergency hospital got it right. You typically see signs of improvement while treating a patient. Not a drastic decline. Typically drastically declines are better taken care of in a in-patient setting. Not out-patient, on my bed, snoring, and whining when its eyes itch.
Bryan get's all pissy when I try to give me dog Benadryl. "I think you're over medicating. He may not need it."
"THIS IS MY DOG HIS EYES ARE FUCKIN HUGE AND RED AND MUCOUSY AND HE KEEPS ITCHING THEM AND HE GETS BENADRYL BECAUSE DR. SHAW SAID I COULD DO IT NOW STOP QUESTIONING MY PARENTING, GET YOUR ASS IN THE CAR AND BE QUIET ABOUT HOW I TAKE CARE OF MY OSCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I feel better. :)
