...To anyone who ran into me during the last event. Not in the future, but our past selves. I must apologize for my behavior. My past life is a great shame to me, and I hoped it would never be forced to surface ever again. I am not the monster today that I once was. Again, I am sorry.

I feel I owe the five of you, at least, an explanation. Shirou and Saber know this already, but I am what is known as a "Servant" -- a special type of familiar, one of a heroic spirit. As in heroes of mythology and history. King Arthur. Cu Chulainn. Herakles. Hassan-i-Sabbah. These are the heroic spirits of which I speak.
Though some of these heroic spirits are not heroes, but instead anti-heroes. I am one such spirit.
My true name is Medusa.
