(no subject)
Hello livejournal. I still check you every day, I just don't post.
I now work for Wizards of the Coast. I scored on this job. I get to play games and bullshit all whilst doing some good work. Lara and I are living together in Capitol Hill now. Have been for over a year. Just moved into a new place. I still spend most of my time being a nerd. Board games, video games, bad metal shows, booty dancing.
Life is good, which is why my LJ is so boring I suppose.
My parents ended up moving to Portland. My dad and mom have been on thin ice between my mom walking out on her job and my dad's drug issues. It seems now that they have begun to work things out. They just bought a new house down there and my dad seems to be more willing to call my mom on he bullshit. Good for them.
Lara is perry awesome. I'm gonna marry her one day. I didnt so much ask her to marry me, but told her that as soon as she's ready, she can ask me and I will say yes.
We have our ups and downs of course, but we work through everything. Its a fine combination of comfortable and exciting, which is the best I could ever wish for.
We ave two cats now, Peter and Benjamin. They are both Maine Coons, and are friggen huge. We opted to adopt adult cats so we wouldn't have to deal with litter training. We lucked out, as both of them have winning personalities.
I've been spending a little bit of time trying to reconnect with people that I left behind socially when I was younger. I tended to flit between social circles and never made too many longstanding connections. As I get closer to 30 I want to know what has become of some of these folks. Thanks to the magic of the internet, its been a pretty simple process.
So that's my 18 month update!
