Show: Doctor Who, Season 4.5 Finale - The End of Time, parts 1 & 2 Title: Prize Catch Characters: Donna Noble, Shaun Temple Rating: For All Count: 244
[Spoiler (click to open)]Donna and Shaun were spending their honeymoon in the Lake District at the Punchbowl Inn, courtesy of a generous wedding gift from Donna’s mum and granddad. They were tickled to find themselves placed in The Noble Room suite. Donna nudged Shaun. “See, luv, it’s a sign - you should take my name.”
Shaun just laughed as they headed to the third floor retreat. To Shaun’s dismay, Donna immediately turned on the plasma television. “Donna, you’re not getting this honeymoon thing, are you?” and he tried unsuccessfully to take the remote from her hand.
Donna plucked the Doctor’s lottery ticket from her cleavage and waved it at Shaun. “It’s time for the drawing! Remember, triple rollover this week!”
Shaun sighed and sat next to Donna on the plush sofa. “All right, babe, but the TV goes off as soon as the drawing’s over. Who’s this ticket from, again?”
Donna shrugged. “I dunno. Granddad gave it to me, said it was a wedding gift from some bloke. He didn’t catch his name. Now, shush, it’s starting. Kiss for luck!”
They sat close, Shaun’s arm around Donna, the ticket clutched in her hand. “And the first number is 10…” Donna looked at their ticket and smiled. Somehow she just knew she was holding a winner.
Then she looked at Shaun and smiled wider. Yep, I definitely have a winner. She put the ticket down, threw her arms around Shaun’s neck, and kissed him for all she was worth. ~~~

Show: The Cosby Show, Series Finale - And So We Commence, parts 1 & 2 Title: Long Distance Characters: Denise and Martin Kendall Rating: For All Count: 300
[Spoiler (click to open)]Denise hung up the phone after talking to her family back in New York. She looked at her husband across the room in their Singapore apartment and started to cry.
“Hey, hey now,” Martin said, opening his arms. Denise sobbed against his shoulder as Martin stroked her hair.
Martin kissed the top of Denise’s head then tilted her chin up. “You know, I still can’t translate cry-ese.”
Denise gave a laugh, her face blotchy and streaked with mascara. “I miss them. I miss my family, and I hate that we couldn’t see Theo graduate. And Olivia….” Denise blew her nose on Martin’s shirt.
“Um, thanks for that,” he said, pulling her down on the couch and handing her the tissue box from the side table. “Honey, Olivia will be here shortly, and she’ll be so excited that she’s getting a little brother soon.”
“Or sister!” Denise said, her voice muffled by tissue.
“Okay, okay, or sister. And you know what? I don’t think there’s anything on this earth that will keep Mrs. Clair Hanks Huxtable from flying out to Singapore when her baby gets ready to have this baby.” Martin patted Denise’s stomach.
Denise smiled up at Martin and he leaned in for a kiss. Before their lips touched, Denise gasped and jumped up. “Oh my gosh, Martin - you’re right! My mom will be coming out here and I need to make plans. What hotel should she stay at?” Denise whirled around, her long braids swinging. “Where should we take her sightseeing? I wonder if Dad will come with her? I need to make a list….” And she ran from the room in search of pen and paper.
Martin sat on the couch and shook his head. Not even all his Navy training prepared him for Typhoon Denise.
