Still going in the playoffs...
Last night, we played the Phantoms. We got up by two goals early, but they came back hard and caught me with some hard shots to make it 3-2. Then we got into penalty trouble. My team was down two men in the penalty box. We responded with our "sophisticated" penalty kill, which meant Paul picked up the puck and broke away to score.
Yes, we got a shorthanded goal down two guys.
No, I don't recommend this.
It went to overtime, and we got a goal waved off, due to one of the referees losing sight of the puck. Rough break. It went to shootout.
After five rounds of shootouts - me vs. the shooter, my guys vs. the other goalie - the last shot hit my stick and went under me. Is it in? The mob of my team jumping on me says, "No".
We go on - possibly winning the playoffs in our next game.
