The same thing

Yesterday I threw my birthday party, three days before my actual birthday. The first part of the party was at my dad's house, then it moved over to my mom's house for the evening.

First in the morning I woke up early around 7 AM (as I usually stay up until around 2/3 AM on Friday nights yet wake up early Saturday mornings- must be a Saturday Morning Cartoon Instinct). I spent the morning with my solo stuff - I read through One Piece and Naruto mangas online. Also I finally decided to watch the movie Requiem For a Dream before Carlo-Stanley came. I liked it even with its depression and intense spookiness (the scenes with the mom especially creeped me out). My dad was out at work, although he knew about the party. Strangely enough I remember drinking the last bottle of Snapple in the fridge when I went to sleep, yet when I woke up, I found the fridge loaded with Snapples.

I had finished the movie around 10 AM. Then I called Carlo just to report this, but I think I woke him up, and he asked me what I was doing up so early. Then I continued reading the mangas until 2 PM, the scheduled starting time of the party. Soon the visitors started to come in pairs. Manny and El Fool arrived, followed by the captain with Carlo-Stanley. We didn't exactly play video games yet, although El Fool randomly decided to play Star Fox Assault, only to shut it off after we heckled him. Then he played a quick game of Smash Bros. Melee, but shut that off to play Sonic I think. Strangely enough, I expected Smash Bros. to be the dominant party game but it was not. As for Carlo, he occupied himself by playing with my dad's lighter and showed us one quick flamethrower.

There were still four more people expected to come. We soon started to get calls from Steven, who had accidentally gone to my mom's building instead. He called continously for directions. Finally he arrived, and the party truly began. Soon we started trying to call others to see what was happening. We found out that Darren was in New York for whatever reason and wouldn't be back for an hour (it was more than an hour), and Sarah was a no-show again. We didn't contact The Guz, but I remembered him saying he might be late because he had planned to go to some video game convention-type thing with Raphael.

Marko and Steve played several amazingly long Pokemon Stadium battles. Carlo watched random skateboarding videos on my computer. Captain tried reading what I had so far of the GCPA Movie Script but kept getting distracted. Everyone soon started looking through the closet and some of the dresser drawers, where they found my store of old Burger King/McDonald's toys plus some Zoids and Nerf guns. Some Nerf shoot-outs commenced. Also we found a pair of pirate hats in the closet, one of which I wore.

Then I challenged Steve to a Pokemon battle. We engaged in two super-long Pokemon Stadium matches. He owned me in the first round, but then I won the second round after I adjusted to his style of switching Pokemon whenever there was even a slight disadvantage. Since I chose my Pokemon second, I specifically picked Articuno and Raicune to counter his Zapdos and Suicune. Afterwards we turned off the game and watched tv, commenting on Pokemon, porn and other random subjects. Dad finally arrived and ordered us pizza.

By now it was around 6, so we decided to head out after we were done with pizza. The Guz soon called, having just returned from the video game thing, and then we waited for his arrival before heading off. Darren had also called, and we gave him the address of my mom's house so we could meet up with him there.

With The Guz's arrival, we departed from Dad's and set off into the darkness on our way to the second half of the party. Our caravan of courage successfully made it to the building, where we found Darren as well as my mom, aunt, sister and my mom's friend. Afterwards we hung out and talked. Plus we got to eat the chocolate cake and cupcakes. The Guz played Galaga on the television, showcasing the skills he learned at the convention, while some of the others either played Mario Kart DS or my little brother's guitar. I got a few money gifts from Darren, my aunt and my mom's friends. I also gave Steve and Carlo a tour of my room. Steve became the first to leave, before I could even show him my baby pictures. Captain then had to leave as well, and El Fool left with him. True to his non-Pyro Lupus name, he forgot to bring his Star Fox Assault with him.

Carlo wanted to go out on a walk and also wanted to go into Quick Chek. I thought it was a good idea so we set out. Carlo didn't get to use my brother's skateboard as expected due to the boy's ultimatum, as my brother would only let him use the skateboard if he could come with us as well. So the five of us set out and went to Quick Chek, adventurers in the night. Darren's dad came from nowhere to pick us up, and at first we though he had walked into some random person's car.

Us four remaining, we returned back home and continued hanging. My mom seemed to be watching the tv with the DVD player, so that shot down our ideas of watching Futurama or other DVDs. The Guz started playing Donkey Konga of all games with my brother while Manny and Carlo continued tinkering with my brother's guitar. The Guz got excited by some of my N64 games, but we only had 1 N64 controller on us so we decided to instead play Mario Party 4 on the Gamecube. The Guz, my brother and I played. Manny filled in as the fourth player until Raphael came. I think Manny set off a little after Ralph came, and then Carlo left as well, having looked through some Legos while we played.

The Guz and Raphael, the last to come, were the last to leave (don't count Darren you'll destroy my analogy). It was soon midnight. The Mario Party game was nearing its end, but both The Guz and Raphael were expected home at 12. The Guz's mom called his cell phone, causing him to lie and say he was in a car. Since he didn't leave until about ten or twenty minutes later, I thought a good alibi would involve his car being driven off a pier, but The Guz survived when his cement shoes broke. They played until the last minigame, and then they rushed off home. Somehow my little brother had won, although Raphael came in second.

Yeah that was basically it.
