I wrote this at work on Monday...so some of the stats might be a little different. LoL.
So regular season baseball ended this weekend. *sigh* My Giants ended the season with a 72-90 record. 1 better than last season! ^_^ Still not a winning season, but they’ll get there. With 16 different rookies making a start this season, it’ll take some time for them to get back in stride. I must say, I really like almost all of the rookies. Notice I said “almost”…some of them made me angry. LoL.
My man, Tim Lincecum, got his 18th win Sunday afternoon, against the Dodgers. He better win the National League Cy Young award. He had an AMAZING season. And he’s only 24! He definitely deserves to win it. That, and I really don’t want to see Brandon Webb win it again. Or Johan Santana…cause I HATE the Mets. LoL. I did get to go to 5 Giants games this season, which was awesome. One of the games Lincecum was pitching, so I was way excited because I FINALLY got to see him pitch. He *almost* pitched a complete game that night too.
The A’s didn’t do a whole lot better than my Giants this season. They finished with a 75-86 record. So neither bay area baseball team did all that wonderfully this year. The A’s debuted a lot of rookies this season also, so it’ll take them a while to get back in stride as well. I did get to go to 3 A’s games this season. All of which were very fun. I ended up getting a total of 4 baseballs from the games that I went to this season. Well, technically Mark got 1 of them for me and I got the other 3. But still…I have 4. LoL. Overall, it was a decent baseball season.
Now that baseball is over, it’s time for football and hockey. I know that football is already 4 games in to the season. For me, football season doesn’t start until baseball ends. LoL. I have my priorities. So far the 49ers are 2-2. They should have won the game this past Sunday against the Saints, but O’Sullivan threw 2 interceptions that were both caught in the end zone. *dies* I was so pissed at the game, that I stopped watching it and turned the Giants game on. LoL. If he can stop doing stupid crap like that, the 49ers have a pretty good chance to do well this season. *crosses fingers* Let’s hope that he stops pulling stupid moves like that. I’m going to try to go to a 49ers game this season. I’ve never been to a professional football game, so if I can go that would be totally awesome.
As for hockey, the regular season technically starts on October 9th, but pre-season is going on right now. The Sharks are 1-2 as of Saturday’s game. But it is only pre-season so it’s not as big of a deal. LoL. I still don’t like the fact that they lost 2…but it’s ok. They can get the losses out of the way before regular season starts. ^_^ I’m also going to try to go to as many Sharks game this season as I can afford. LoL. I’ve never been to a professional hockey game either. That’s one thing that I love about living in Pleasanton. I’m close enough now to actually go to all the games that I want to go to. ^_^ That’s very exciting. Ok, that’s all for now. GO 49ERS and GO SHARKS!!!!!
