So yeah. It’s been a while since I have updated about things. Let’s see how long this is going to be. LoL.
Work Stuff: So unless you REALLY don’t pay attention you all know that I work for the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association. I just recently completed my 90 day probationary period on December 20th. So exciting!! So last Friday I had my end of the year/probationary period review. It went really well. I’m doing really good so far. What’s even cooler is that I got my raise. Yay!! When I got hired the pay rate for me was $28,000/year which breaks down to $13.23 or something an hour. They told me when they hired me that after my 90 days, I would get a raise. Well, I did. I moved up to $30,000/year which breaks down to $14.42 an hour. Talk about excited. What’s even better is that the $30,000 is before overtime. When we go to the car shows any time that we work that is over 8 hours is time and a half. We also get paid $35 a day for food during the show. *does happy dance* I LOVE my job! Going from being broke, stressed out all the freaking time and wanting to punch everyone in the face to where I am at now is wonderful. I’m finally going to be able to do the extra things that I’ve always wanted to do. I’m happy. ^_^
Holiday Stuff: For the first time in the 17 years that my family has been living in Turlock, we didn’t have to go anywhere for Christmas. We were actually able to convince both my dad’s and my mom’s side of the family to come to our house for Christmas. It was so great to not have to deal with the traffic and everything else that goes along with holiday travel. I will say this though. I didn’t realize how much has to be done around the house to prepare for family to come. And seeing as my house is a bunch of stoners, except my brother, we procrastinated with everything until the day before and the actual day that everyone was coming. My dad’s family was down on the 17th and my mom’s family was down on the 23rd. It was good times with both families. On top of the family Christmas stuff, I went to 3 company Christmas parties this year. Paul and I both went to my company party and the Lamppost party. I also went to the Taco Bell party. I know I just quit working there 3 months ago, but I am still friends with the people that work there. It was weird. I knew like 4 people and the managers. There are so many new people there. I’m SO glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore.
Other Stuff: First off, being sick SUCKS! I totally thought that I was over this random sick thing that I got but I guess not. I feel like total shit. My head feels like something is inside it blowing air just to build up pressure. It’s shitty. On top of feeling like crap, I still had to drive to work this morning. *dies* That was so hard. Thank the lord there was almost no one on the freeway this morning. I really hope that the rest of the week is like that.
Anyway, moving on from the sickness speak. Now that I have weekends off, I’ve actually been able to go out and do stuff. I’ve been out to the bars and stuff almost every weekend lately. Well, not during Christmas stuff, but before then. It’s a lot of fun. I haven’t had time to go out for a long time so it’s nice to be able to get out of the house and do stuff.
Now that everything else seems to be falling in place for me, I need to find someone to be in a relationship with. For a while now I’ve wanted to be with a girl, but I don’t seem to be having any luck with that. *shrugs* Once I get skinny, it won’t matter anymore. And I will be skinny, I’m not even kidding. I am bound and determined to lose weight and be all hot and stuff. Cause you know I’ll be hot when I’m skinny. Hehe. Anyway, I think that’s everything. Well, everything that I can remember and feel like typing right now. For those of you that read this whole thing you get a prize! LoL. That and you must be really bored. Happy New Year everyone!!
