Growing Up Fast...
Yesterday was definitely one of those crazy roller-coaster emotion days. It was all dealing with school and work, but I don't know when the last time I fluctuated between good moods and bad moods so much in one day. The overall tone of the day was definitely good, as I got some wonderful news: I was accepted into one of the Summer REU programs I applied for!
This summer, I will be participating in a 6 week research internship at Penn State Erie! The research program is in mathematical biology, which is an are of study I'm considering for Graduate School. I'm hoping that this opportunity will give me a better idea about what I want to do with my life. At least as far as grad school goes, anyway. I'm really excited, but unbelievably nervous. This is going to be the first time I've ever really set out on my own. I guess this is another one of those signs of growing up that I'm having more and more trouble ignoring. I guess I might as well give in and prepare for adulthood. It's kind of exciting to think about, actually. Sometimes, at least.
So, providing I make it through the rest of this semester(2 weeks, plus finals), I will be on my way to Pennsylvania on June 10th!
Now, I need to get back to working on projects, studying for tests, and attempting to do some homework.
