That is adorable. :D

I'm looking forward to yours and Dave's take on the character! I even posted a spirited defense of the upcoming manga over on my Comics Blog.

You know, I could see this kind of angle to appeal to a whole new cadre of fans with your kind of art or similar-- but lord, how the fanbois would scream bloody murder. "You kiddified the serious stuff!" Screw 'em. Comics need more exposure, and if everyone can enjoy it across the board, then maybe kids can start coming back to comics for entertainment like we all did at a young age-- not to mention parents actually taking their kids to the local comic store once in a while to pick up a few, instead of looking at it as "that place where lonely 20-30-something guys hang out at".

I have no idea of who the dragon is, but it's adorable! X3

The dragon is Lockheed, Kitty's alien pet dragon. Lockheed is awesome, as demonstrated below and elsewhere.

You had this at San Diego and didn't show me?

I'd put one of those animated shaking head smileys in here if I could.

It was wrapped up pretty heavily so as not to get damaged...I let the people who commissioned it unwrap it.

Nothing like taking a piece of paper cross country shoved into a suitcase full of books and clothes!

Oh, I learned that lesson in 1993, when my Marvels promo poster signed by Alex Ross and Kurt Busiek arrived in pieces after my trip to Comicfest'93 in Philly.

That's why all my trips to Comic-Cons include a poster tube and a giant piece of wooden board.
