(no subject)
The church bells in my town began ringing about 15 minutes ago, and I suspect they shall ring exactly 2996 times this morning. I sit here in my office, unusual for me this time of day, and can hear them very clearly from my desk. Very solemn, almost surreal. 2996 is such a huge number, and thinking of it sends a chill down my spine.
