As my family and I plan our long trip sailing, we are looking for ways to remain in contact with, and give confidence to friends and family. This may be the lowest cost option I have found yet.

I know my more serious preparedness minded friends and associates will take one look and disapprove of the units 'big brother' features, but it works for my application very well. I already have a satellite phone that uses the same constellation of satellites, so I know it works where I am going to need it to work.
