If in life I see thee not,
in dreams I do embrace,
the thought of you,
with your stunning face.
I draw your flaws,
and all that is wrong,
yet in you alone
do I stare perfection in the face
If passion is of fire,
Within me is all ablaze.
Like a phoenix my heart is burning,
Yet my mind its eventual doom delays.
How great to start anew,
With new dreams to debut,
A whole new love to pursue.
Yet no rebirth shall erase,
My great love for you.
It’s presence leaving trace,
And my mind unable to construe,
How, when, you grew in me,
And I lost my heart to you.
