Yay Christmas.

I am a sucker for the holidays. Christmas is like the #1 Best Day of the Year for me, I think made even more so because my family isn't religious. Christmas to us has nothing at all to do with Little Baby Jesus, and everything to do with PRESENTS. When I was younger, it was of course all about me. But as I've gotten older, I try to get my parents some decent stuff too. And they always go all out for each other, which is kind of cute. Except this year, I think my mom went out and bought herself a ton of stuff and then wrapped it. So my dad was surprised at what she was getting, and she wasn't. But I digress.

So this year, I am jobless. Yes again. I'll feel sorry for myself about that later, but the point is I couldn't afford too much. I got my mom a funky vase, a cool scented candle, a $10 Starbucks gift card, a little set of aromatherapy stuff from Bath & Body works, and some Choxie truffles. My sister and I gave our dad a $100 gift card to Dave & Buster's plus $20 in game tokens. Whee! The catch, of course is that he has to take us. Heh.

My favoritest thing I got this year is a handmade quilt. My mom got it for me, but my old roommate made it for me. She made one for my dad and sister also, and my mom got one last year. It is an awesome fucking gift, because it's kind of from my mom AND from Heather. And since Heather knows me so well, it's absolutely perfect. She picked all these great fabrics, mostly flannels with flowers and butterflies in bright neon colors. She even embroidered "My Aim is True" (quote from the song I was named after) and put a couple pockets on it. I have it hanging over the back of the couch in the apartment, and I stuck the remote control in one of the pockets. Pictures will be coming.

I also got a ton of clothes which all rock because I picked them out myself. Though my mom got me a Pink Floyd shirt that I didn't know about and it's pretty damn cool too. I got some socks, a big ol' watch, lip balms, Target gift card, a hand mixer, the William Hung cd which I exchanged for the new Depeche Mode, some B&Body Works stuff, a book, an ugly sweater which I exchanged for a wal mart gift card, 2 pairs of the exact same shoe (one black and one brown!), candy, a nissan thermos, a plug-into-your-car-lighter coffee mug, an umbrella, a calendar, a windchime, a pin art clock, the Gorillaz cd which really was given to my sister but she already put it on her ipod and gave it to me, a set of purple mixing bowls, and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember. Yay for material goods!

Today I'm applying for jobs online, returning some of Evan's Xmas crappy gifts, and chilling. I was going to apply for unemployment but the shit's closed today, so tomorrow it is.

Uh, bye.
