I've got (culinary) skillz.

I made a huge mess last night. But it was sooooo worth it. I made SUSHI.

The sushi rice  came out PERFECT, but I didn't have the patience to wait for it to cool, so when I went to cut the roll, it sort of fell apart.

I stuffed it with avocado, some maple glazed tofu I made, and homemade tomago (sweet egg cake). It was delicious. Only thing was, I didn't have any seaweed to wrap it all together. So I just did the version of the inside out roll, only without the seaweed. Maybe that's why it fell apart.... still though, it tasted AWESOME and I am so proud of myself.

I maybe ate too much of it, which made me mad at myself for a couple hours, but I'll just be more careful today. I took pictures, but I haven't uploaded them yet.

You know, I sure have come a long way from microwave meals. I always knew I can cook, I just didn't know I  like it. :-)

SUSHI. Umyumyum. That is such a coveted thing for me since it's usually so expensive. But now that I know I can make my own.... shazzam, I can eat it more than once every few months. And life is good.
