I agree with you 100% about the endangered animals.
And I enjoyed taking the poll. Like I said in the other box, I go to a baptist church, but I don't feel tied down to their particular creed. I just consider myself Christian.
When I was younger we went to a few of those fundamentalist churches where things get crazy and you can never do enough. After that, I felt sort of sick of church, but in 2001 I had a sort of spiritual reawakening and now I'm practice what I preach. ;D So to speak.
Also, I really do think that no matter what one's religious beliefs(even if they have none)everyone should live by some standards and morals. Being against lying, cheating, killing, and helping the poor, and striving toward peace, etc shouldn't be Christian values they should just be the values of our society. I think in many homes kids are not exposed to good values and it shows in our society as a whole. Like the stock market stuff now...greedy CEOs should care more about others than to take the money and run and I can give numerous examples just in my own family, but I'll spare you.
Anyway, the place of religion in society is something that really interests me. Thanks for posting this and I HOPE I didn't say anything that offends you or that I don't come off as heavy-handed.

I think it's cool you're back into religion. :D I think I want to go to all differnt churches to see what I like best cause I was born and raised catholic and there is just so much stuff that I don't agree with. :D
Cool! I'm glad you agree and I didn't offend. I get nervous talking about religion with people. There are a lot of irrational people for it and against it.
:D Hey church hopping can be fun. My family and I visited many churches in our country and elsewhere before we found the right place. I really try to encourage people to take their own spiritual quest. On mine I met new people, found out just how scary it can be in some churches and how wonderful it can be when you get to the right place.
