Brief update of life
Well, honestly I have no complaints about my life right now. Hey, that can't be bad right? hehe. I'm currently still working as a security officer but now i am at the washington post which is 100x better than sallie mae! I've been getting sooo much reading done and I get to listen to the kane show every morning! not to mention I get paid pretty well for a security officer up here compared to other companies. I am waiting for my clearance to go through before I look for another job. Because the plan is to leave Vance to do something more career-oriented than being a security guard. Cuz, let's face it, it's a piece of cake and I am smart enough to do much much more. Coz's brother is going to pass around my resume to some people who worked for companies that did background investigations which is exactly what I am looking to get into next! I will be so happy when I can dress up for work and not have to wear guys pants everyday. That uniform is sooo unflattering! hehe.
Coz and I are doing really well. Don't worry, we are NOT planning on getting engaged ANY time soon. We have talked a lot about our future though and we plan to at least move in together before anything else happens. We have also talked about moving to Richmond also. We both love it there and the job I really want is there as well as all our friends, better restaurants, and it's much much cheaper. But before that happens, I plan to move out next summer and live in an apartment for a year either alone or with a roommate. I hated my apartment in Richmond because the setting and layout scared me every night so I wasn't able to enjoy it like I wanted. I also only lived there for 6 months so i never got around using all my dishes and really making it feel like home. I will make my next apartment great. I just really need to live on my own for about a year before I make any big commitment. Coz knows this and we are on the same page. We are probably the ONLY people we know in no rush to run down the alter. It sure seems like everyone we know is getting hitched. We're in our early twenties, what's the rush? I know at least five couples getting married within the next year, although one is already legally married.
Oh and on that note, I am going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend Melissa's wedding next July!! I am super excited about it. She and her husband had a tiny ceremony with their parents a couple weeks before they had their cute baby girl Kelsie. She is adorable. She was born the 13th of august, the day after my birthday! They were all rooting for her to be born that day so it would be easier to remember birthdays. I am so happy for them!
So anyways, I just chillin at home. Didn't want to do anything anyways. I went shopping today and got some cute stuff. OH yea, everyone needs to listen to the new Britney Spears single "Gimme More". I just wanna know what other people think of it. hehe, it kind of grows on you.
