i haven't written in a while so here goes...and i'm not putting it under a cut so deal with it...hehe
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? i voted for the president
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i didn't make any...and if i did, i don't remember. i'll have to check my old entries though...and i probably won't make one for next year...if i do, i will have to think about it.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not close to me really, but I know a few people that popped in '08
4. Did anyone close to you die? nobody close to me died but again, i know of some.
5. What countries did you visit? just the best one! the good old U.S. of A....ok now i sound like a redneck...lol
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? a college degree
7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory? In a good or bad way? none
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? getting back to school all on my own
9. What was your biggest failure? leaving school
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury? my wisdom teeth were removed
11. What was the best thing you bought? my fall semester at umass
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? barrack obama!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Dubya...lol. that is george W. bush...hehe
14. Where did most of your money go? school...rent...food...beer...the usual
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? getting back to school

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? i am a little happier...last year i was kicked out of school due to insufficient funds so that put a damper on the holidays...so i guess i'm a LITTLE happier...but life is still a shit show right now.
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter...but not by much i don't think...what's the difference when you are already fat...lol
iii. richer or poorer? WAAAAAAY poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Trying to figure out my future and getting better grades.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Sitting on the couch trying to figure out why my life sucks instead of doing something about it
20. How will you be spending New Years (it did say Christmas but since that already passed...i changed it)? I will most likely be in Boston with Steve!
22. Did you fall in love in 2008? i have been in love with a certain person for a long time but it will never work out because he's gay so i've been trying to get over it for the entire year...it's working slowly but surely.

24. What was your favorite TV program? the office! LOST! Greys! Private Practice! House! Desperate Housewives! American Idol! of course i don't have any time to watch any of these so i just put it on my DVR and i have marathon sundays...lol
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? i don't REALLY hate anyone...just strongly dislike
26. What was the best book you read? None of the books i read in '08 were really that great
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? actually i just discovered the wombats pretty recently...oh and Attaque 77...they are from argentina and they are great!
28. What did you want and get? other than stuff for christmas....my mom adopted a dog a while ago...so that's cool
29. What did you want and not get? a job that pays me what I deserve
30. What was your favorite film of this year? i liked the dark knight and wanted very much. i also just saw seven pounds tonight and that was great. a lot of movies were good this year.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? i turned 22...i was just getting over the flu but went to the HO HO HO party in North D anyway. it was a great time and i got REALLY drunk!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? falling in love and staying there....and finish school on time...ok that's two things but whatever
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? tshirt and jeans most days but when i dress up, i either dress slutty depending on where i'm going (like the club or a shitty bar in amherst) or very NYC trendy (if i'm going to a fancy bar in boston or something)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008: Sometimes you don't get what you planned, what you were expecting, or really anything you want at all. But you know what? It's still going to be okay. And to just take it one. day. at. a. time. It's all you can do. (this isn't mine but i stole it from sarah because she put it so eloquently)
