lots of stuff
so since my last real entry a lot of stuff has happened. i started work on monday and i like it so far but it's pretty boring because there's not much for me to do. I am training still but I think I will be on my own pretty soon. I've placed a few ads today in my own name so I can start to accrue some money at least. I'm still at the office because I have to wait for mom to be done so I can go home.
last night we didn't get home until around 10 because even though we left at 6:30, we had an emergency to attend to. we were about a minute away from the house when suzanne called saying that she had to rush tony to the animal emergency room. she said that it was something wrong with his eye and there was a lot of blood. they said that it happened out of nowhere. so we met suzanne and david there and waited there while the doctor made her assessments. to make a long story short, we were there for about 2 hours when she told us that there was a tumor behind tony's eye (much like chubs had) that was pushing it out. we didn't notice it because he was blind anyway and his hair was really long so we couldn't notice if it was swollen. with chubs we knew right away because she had short hair. so the doc gave us our options on what we wanted to do but suzanne decided that the best course of action was to say goodbye to our friend. i mean he was 16 1/2 years old...it was his time. but we had no time to prepare. he was our friend and he will be missed. david took it the worst. he has never experienced life without tony. tony was there since before dave was born. he was his friend. i'm sure he'll miss him a lot. i guess after my mom and i left, he and suzanne stayed in the waiting room for a minute and cried. i feel bad. we went in to see him while he was sedated so we could say our goodbyes. the doctor cleaned him up really well but he was intebated and it was difficult to see him like that....especially for my mom because it brought up some memories of when she had to put chubs down. so that's 2 dogs in less than 6 months that we had to put down. we are now stuck with the beast that we know as emily...i fucking hate that dog....she's lucky she's cute.
anyway...we will miss tony a lot. he was a great dog and always playful even when he couldn't see. goodbye my friend.
anyway...my mom miraculously got tickets to dropkick murphy's for tomorrow night even when they were sold out so i'm going to take dave as an early birthday gift. hopefully it will take his mind off things. i can't wait. i've never seen them and i think that they will put on a great show. i'm sure there are going to be a ton of drunk people there because it's st. patty's day weekend...lol. but it should be a wicked good time.
