I just got back from the American Idol concert in Worcester and it was great. We were ridiculously cloe-- you could reach out and touch everyone. I hope I got a lot of good pictures. Katherine has bronchitis so she wasn't there ( and hasn't been on tour since the beginnign 4 days ago) but other than that it was good. I feel bad for people who go especially for her-- she should have at least showed up.. oh well. Watching all of them made me miss my SMC'ers and out Tuesday and Wednesday night rituals. I called some of them though during their individual favs and shared the experience with them. I hope you guys could hear them singing! I have gone to a lot of concerts in my life and I think I am getting slowly less excited/less starstruct. I think thats a good thing because these people are just like any of us ( esp. the American Idols.. they were unknowns a year ago) and they have the same potentials/problems/struggles, etc. as us. I think I used to think celebrities were superhuman or better than me or you or anyone, but they aren't. I like going to concerts and enjoying the music but not being in awe of them.
I just wanted to leave you with something to think about:
In Africa when i rains people run outside and dance in it and celebrate and the first thing people do in North America or Europe is run for cover... think about that.
dance more.
