I never knew this before:
The Irish flag has three colors. A stripe of orange, a stripe of white, and a stripe of green. The stripe of green represents Irish Catholics, the stripe of orange represents Irish Protestants, and the stripe of white represents peace between them.
I'm a Presbyterian so I techinically should be wearing orange. I don't have any orange though, and of course I actually could be a catholic descendent. So I am wearing a green shirt and an orange necklace.
It's a pretty neat piece of info. And I am proud to wear orange, a way to show im proud of being Protestant.
:)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
