The more worrying thing will be that your dog will be missing you too. My aunt's dog, did just that when they'd come to India. At the kennel she had supplied the brand of food she eats, and yet it seems the poor thing kept pining for my aunt.
Fortunately for me Elsa is with a good friend of ours and they are animal lovers too. Initially we did think of taking her with us, but then decided against it.
Its a very long flight journey for her and she will have to be sedated which i dont like to. Moreover, she was off and on sick for 2 months when we first got her here from India as she took time to adjust to the food, water, climate etc., If i take her now she will again fall sick in India and by the time she adjusts it will be time for us to come back and then again she might fall sick here.
Since she is safe with a friend and in a house rather than in a kennel - thats a great big solace. I am sure she will miss me as much as i will or maybe even more :( I am having mixed emotions now. Just got back home a while ago after dropping her off.... *sad*
She is very much Indian - loves to eat all the Indian Food - you name it Idli, Dosa, Tandoori Chicken......... Some day will write about her. Got to go.
