Finally the weekend is here, feels like I'm looking from the outside. Lows and normals, and wearing a tie really does bring about some sort of pressure. Oh and all the best to those running for House Positions =]
Watched Slumdog Millionaire yesterday, kinda cool that the whole theatre was 80% filled with DHS students lol. Actually it's the second time I'm watching, watched it once on bro's com but nothing beats the big screen and maybe I'm grasping at any chance to have a life outside school. Hah
Anyway I think my reading of the book it was based on - Q&A, sorta marred the movie for me lol. The movie didn't really stay true to the book, which is expected, and kinda confused me the first time. So mostly spent the second time analysing haha. Like, how come Jamal could just sit at the train station after winning the big prize money and not get kidnapped for ransom or something?
Oh but the dance at the end was pretty funny haha:
Go read the book, quite a good read if you want to get more depth of the story, but certain important things were tweaked like the characters of Jamal, Salim and Latika
Busy day today - Training, Lit play and meeting up with Seewei and Shiying =]
And Happy 17th Birthday to Jiamin =]
“When we were little, life worked perfectly. No matter what happened, everything turned out alright in the end. Scraped knees, canceled play dates, dropped ice cream cones- we would cry for a short time, but by the end of the day, everything would be perfect. And now as we’ve grown older, we’ve lost the faith as we stumble through each day, crying over broken hearts, lost friendships, and lost dreams. It seems like life and perfection have turned their backs on us, but really its just that we’ve grown up. As children we didn’t pay attention to such details about our daily lives, but now we are more aware, and little details seem to be amplifying our pain. But just remember that when we were younger, life was hard too, but we had faith in perfection because we could look past faults. So don’t lose your faith. Learn to know that each day will pass, each heartache will be mended, and everything will be perfect in the end. Just keep your faith.”
