Back from Bangkok, rejuvenated and energized!
The trip can be summarized in a few words - family fun, shopping, fruits, food, massages!!
Platinum mall wasn't as fantastic as I thought... So first day was a bit of a downer lol. Best part of the day was the MASSAGE!!! Best way to end a shopping day is to go for massage methinks!
Chatuchak was much better! Quality and design-wise. The indie malls have got to be the best though. And the Paragon mall, or was it CentralWorld, or Siam square? Seriously can't remember, oops. The indie shops have so many quirky and interesting designs! Not all wearable of course, some look like... something Gaga would wear lol. But others were so exquisite. Their local brands were quite good too! This is one of the pretty indie shops -
AND the FRUITS/FRUIT JUICES. It's so delicious I couldn't get enough of it. Fruit juices in the supermarket, at the MRT, at the wet market.... =D
BEST COCONUT ICECREAM EVER (at chatuchak!)
Massages to die for! The place is called Rueen Naad I think? Service is superb, massage is heavenly. Should have done a massage every day! Oh well but we went back for a second time anyway lol
Had lots of fun with my mum, aunt and cousin xinying! The moments at the hotel were the most unforgettable because of the hilarious things we did or rather, what the two aunties did hahaa. Classic example - both aunties watching korean drama and there was an interesting gadget the actors were using.
Mum: wah the gadget so cool!
Aunt: Ya! We go buy later!
Mum: OK!
Xinying: Hello we not in Korea we're in Bangkok, where are you going to buy that??!
Aunt & Mum: OH YA!! WE'RE NOT IN KOREA!
Haha love em and the silliness we all get up too. =]
