and just when you thought the shackles of old ghosts have came undone: there is no need for the premonitory kindness, because that just hurts more and the emotional burden is stretching too far more than human endurance.
the test that i will succumb in again and again; perpetual vicious cycle never to learn from (or recover) - with all the splendour of the risk, the eventual meteoric freefall. how many times have that happened, and how many promises of never again have been broken? you were privy to hope and love, and that wanton destruction - excruciatingly deliberate and cold - meant misjudgment: you were never worthy, never deserving, never justified. all the energy expended was the most blatant act of futility ever, and redemption is the brutal mercy that shall never be accorded even, in the most unlikeliest of circumstances, you are sheathed from the decision committed and wrath incurred.
this is the line drawn: you are no more, and the fury will never be assuaged.
you may hope to fall with grace, but you will still fall - and that is where my contempt will envelop you.
