The thing about the company I work at that annoys me so much most of the time, is that the ears and mouth have no comprehension of what the hands and feet are doing.
I just read an email today that I was copied on where one sales guy was asked by a client to provide a list of hardware, software, and content going to be shown at a demo. And if I were to grade this "list," which was almost non existant, I'd give it a D. Why is it that someone who sells a product can't seem to remember technical terms for things, understand the product, and be able to follow processes to help others out?
It really annoys me when one of them asks, "Is there any demo equipment available for this date?" as their form of requesting a demo...where we have a form to fill out (requesting demo equipment, content, software, location, etc.) which then gives me a good idea of what we can provide for the demo.
I guess it's why I'm not the "Sales" type, but I can't stand how they perform their jobs. "Just gotta sell something or anything (even if it's unrealistic)" seems to be their motto at times.
