[ic] Birthday Dinner, backdated to December 21st.

Dec 23, 2007 11:03

[We have food, friends, and widely divergent timezones. Ergo, this birthday dinner is open for always. I imagine the food's been brought over from the Mess Hall and that a party atmosphere prevails. The living room of Toya and Yukito's house is probably a little crowded, but that just adds atmosphere. Enjoy!]

You even managed liver and onions.

I think so ... but you'd better get in fast before.

[...so there, getting pizza] Do you want some? I could get you a slice.

Thanks, Mac, but I'm sticking to the liver for starters.

Only four days till Christmas.

Okay.

Uh-huh! Actually, I made you something, but I guess you can have it early for your birthday. [hands over card and christmas ornament shaped like a star with glitter on it]

You're welcome. Really? Do you get to help decorate it?

We all do. Christmas Eve, Dad puts the tree up, and Mary and Barbara make paper chains, and the rest of us do the decorating.

That sounds like fun! I get to help decorate the one at home and the tree at Foster's.

Two trees? Does that mean you have two Christmas celebrations?

That's right, with my family and with my friends. It's really fun.

How many Christmases are you going to have here, Mac?

I think I'm just going to have one, unless we have one for the cabin and one with everyone else. Having one Christmas all together with everyone in camp would be a lot more fun.

Oh, it would! But that's a lot of people ... still, if more really is merrier ...

It is! Foster's has about a hundred friends and it's a lot of fun when we all get together for Christmas. We won't be able to get everyone together in camp, but whoever wants to share it with a lot of people can.

A hundred? Wow. Do you ever lose your voice from saying Merry Christmas to everyone?

That sounds like a lot of fun.
