//And honestly, I didn't get Lois' thinking with all the Fortress-visiting. I mean, if we assume that Clark told her that the AI disowned him, then it doesn't make sense that she broached the subject with him in a manner that suggested she thought the two of them mutually broke ties, and that the divide could at least be partially crossed if Clark would just talk it out with the AI. If she knows that (a) Clark has been disowned, and (b) the AI has not provided any guidance or conditions on what Clark can do to change the disavowal, then (c) she should understand that the onus of repairing the breach thus rests entirely on the AI, that Clark and the AI don't equally share the burden for that.
OTOH, if Clark didn't tell her that part of his history (and I can believe he didn't, since it was still clearly a wound for him, if his evasiveness on the subject in the first Clark/Lois is anything to go by), then she's engaging in a lot of projection throughout the episode. If she doesn't know the whole story, then she's assuming that Clark's situation with the AI is analogous to her issues around Ella, and she's basically trying to live vicariously through Clark by getting him to have the moment of peace with AI!Jor-El that she never got with her mother because they were simultaneously blocking their access to each other in Ella's dying days (Lois by not wanting to go to the hospital and Ella by not wanting Lois and Lucy to see her that way).//
Have to quote all of this because it perfectly articulates my confusion and displeasure wrt the Lois/FOS storyline in this one.
