I just want to hug this whole post, and take it out to dinner. *smishes you*

I am a little worried that people are going to start thinking we are the same person, just posting under 2 different identities. Hee!

We're heading towards S8 levels of end-of-season debacle, it seems. The whole Chloe/Clark/Oliver set-up is too familiar already not for it go down that road again. ::sighs::

YES! I have been saying this for weeks. I know you don't do spoilers, but I do, and I keep seeing the same warning signs on the road ahead. Why people think that these writers...the same writers from last season...are suddenly going to turn over a new leaf is beyond me.

I have no hope that Chloe is going to have any realizations in the upcoming episodes, because I have no hope that TPTB think that she should. Again, I feel like this is a debate I've had ad nauseum with some who are sure that, this time, the writers are going to get it right. But for me, I think the writing was on the wall as soon as they started this season, and REFUSED to have either Chloe or Oliver own any of their wrongdoings in the Doomsday scenario. That was the biggest warning sign of all, and I think people just didn't want to see it.

Cassiday is so marvelous. What a find she is. I think she makes every Tess scene so much more then just whats on the page. She's one of those actors that gives you so many layers. I adore her. And I adore Tess. I hate how she was treated in this episode by Oliver and Clark. I expect more from my good guys.

My post accepts your dinner invitation. :-)

I don't have much of a clue as to what the reactions are in fandom these days other than lj, but I can certainly see that there might be some fans out there, for whom if certain aspects of the season are working - they're probably choosing to ignore the overall warning signs of derailmemt, especially when it comes to Clark. That's the only reasonable explanation I can think of for still having faith in these showrunners.

CF is IMO the best addition to this show in a long while.

We have ::got:: to stop sharing a brain already! ;-)
